Fascinated by geometry and wooden tones, we opted to deploy a cascade of hexagons that were constructed using a bespoke marquetry pattern. In this case the pattern embodies waste birch ply, Iroko from a discarded bench, interrupted by a bright liner incursion of waste acrylic. Hard wax oil to the top protects its top. Function and aesthetic complement each other, transforming tired into alive.Stratum MarquetryHelston, CornwallWeather system table (Bespoke Moos Krog), Emily WhelanLong shotWeather system table (Bespoke Moos Krog), Emily WhelanTop detailWeather system table (Bespoke Moos Krog)Cross section detailWeather system table (Bespoke Moos Krog), Emily WhelanTop detailWeather system table (Bespoke Moos Krog), Emily WhelanTop detailWeather system table (Bespoke Moos Krog)AboutOur client asked us to take her existing table and introduce a pattern to its top face.
