Sue Stone is best known for figurative, narrative work that often features a fish; a symbol of her heritage. Her ideas are drawn from the seen, the heard, and the experienced. Her work, which has an emphasis on hand embroidery often combined with machine stitch, appliqué and paint has been exhibited worldwide. Sue devised and teaches 2 online hand stitch courses to students worldwide for textileartist.org and has delivered workshops to groups throughout the UK and in France, the USA and Canada.

Since 2017 I have taught online hand stitch workshops in conjunction with Textileartist.org 'Exploring Texture and Pattern' and introduction to simple hand stitch techniques and 'Stitch Your Story's added in 2019 an introduction to hand stitch portraits. The courses are updated and released each year. Find out when the next courses are released at Textileartist.org

Intersect Chicago

Proud to be represented by Owen James Gallery, New York at Intersect Chicago is replacing SOFA virtually for the 2020 art fair edition due to COVID-19. Intersect Viewing Rooms will be open to the public from November 6-12
