I work with hand-constructed techniques of cutting, twisting, coiling, whipping and knotting with the aim to prolong the life of textiles. Fabrics have been sourced from tailors, seamstresses as well as saris from my circle of family and friends. By re-working an array of textiles evocative of personal and often private histories materials of sentimental value or simply tired looking, unwanted items of textiles are transformed through an intuitive materials-led approach.

Focus:
repurposing textiles and sharing skills
