I deconstruct these tanks to acquire sheet copper, which I then use as the base material for my pieces. I have taken every opportunity to acquire second hand or recycled copper as opposed to freshly mined. I have made works from Etching plates, distillery stills, and even solicited the local detectorist society when a friend of mine told me they had come across a slag heap from a roman copper foundry.AboutInspired by a curious temperament, Willow Bloomfield crafts organically forged metalwork.
