The Intoart Collection is a growing physical and digital archive of over 5000 artworks made in the Intoart studio spanning the last 23 years.
Purpose of the job
The Collections Manager is a new role responsible for providing collections management, support and advice. Enabling improved physical and digital access to information about the Intoart Collection and its purpose as a unique loaning resource for a wide range of existing and potential new partners nationally and internationally.
The post holder is responsible for championing excellent collections information management and the effective day to day and hands-on management of the collection. You will be an active and key contributor to lead the management of the Intoart Collection across research, administration, loans and audience development.
The role requires being responsible for the day to day running of the Collection. Undertaking a leadership role in best practice and guidance on the conservation of artworks across works on paper, textile, ceramics, fashion garments, painting, sculpture and print. You will bring practical, strategic and planning skills to work with the team on the future direction and dissemination of a growing collection of 5000 works.
This is a dynamic mid career role and would suit someone with ambition and drive to work with a unique collection spanning art, design and craft.
