About the Role
We’re looking for a dedicated and creative Jewellery Manufacturing & Design Tutor to join our team. You’ll be teaching Diploma learners at the Academy, covering jewellery manufacturing, Rhino CAD, and design techniques. This is a fantastic opportunity to share your expertise, inspire students, and help them achieve their full potential in a supportive, creative learning environment.
Role Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging lessons in jewellery manufacturing, CAD (Rhino), and design.
- Provide structured feedback and guidance to help learners succeed.
- Prepare lesson plans, materials, and assess learner work on time. -Monitor learner progress, attendance, and maintain accurate records.
- Support course management, including admissions and learner interviews.
- Ensure lessons and assessments meet awarding body and Academy standards.
- Promote a safe, inclusive, and professional learning environment, following health & safety, safeguarding, and equality guidelines.
- Stay current with jewellery industry trends and continuously develop your teaching practice.
Person Specification:
- Relevant qualifications in Jewellery Manufacture.
- Teaching/assessing qualifications (or willingness to work towards).
- Experience in jewellery manufacturing (bench work, 2D design); Rhino CAD skills are desirable.
- A practising jeweller with industry links is a plus.
- Strong organisational, teamwork, and communication skills.
- Ability to innovate, adapt, and maintain attention to detail.
