Programming and Participation Manager

Deadline: 1 December

Jobs

Description

Job Title: PROGRAMMING & PARTICIPATION MANAGER

Rate of pay: £27,300-30,135 per annum (pay review April 2024)

Hours: 37.5 per week (full-time) Flexible

Working: At Milton Keynes Arts Centre we will consider requests for flexible working on hiring. For most roles, the following types of flexibility are usually possible: flexible or part-time hours and an element of working from home.

We are seeking a Programming & Participation Manager to oversee the research, planning and delivery of all of MKAC’s artists’ projects, events and participatory activities.

The successful candidate will be a creative, collaborative and inspirational programmer, experienced in working with artists and a range of partners to deliver high quality, open access and co-produced projects - combining hands-on, practical coordination with risk management. The successful candidate will have strong financial and administrative skills, including experience in fundraising.

They will be able to set targets and monitor financial performance as well as collect audience data. They will play a key role in developing relationships with artists, the education sector, external companies and community groups and will have a flexible approach to working, including a willingness to work unsociable hours. This is an exciting, challenging and varied post at MKAC, with plenty of opportunity to innovate in partnership with communities in Milton Keynes.

MKAC treats all job applicants equally, regardless of class, age, disability, gender identity or gender expression, race, ethnicity, religion or belief, sexual orientation or any other equality characteristic. We particularly encourage applications from individuals who are underrepresented in the cultural sector.
