Strange Clay: Ceramics in Contemporary Art
Featuring 23 international artists including Grayson Perry, Magdalene Odundo, Lubna Chowdhary and Edmund de Waal, this major exhibition explores the possibilities of clay in a contemporary art context. Works vary in scale – from the modest right up to sprawling, room-sized installations – style and technique, in an ambitious tour of today's talent.
Crafts magazine will be hosting a panel discussion, 'Out of the Kiln: From Technique to Concept', in partnership with the Hayward Gallery. Join us at 2pm on 26 November to hear from Aaron Angell and Serena Korda, two artists featured in the exhibition, and from its curator Cliff Lauson, in conversation with deputy editor Isabella Smith.
