Resources and Support for Artsmark Schools
The Crafts Council is proud to support Artsmark, Arts Council England's creative quality standard for schools.
The Crafts Council's vision is that every child has a chance to discover their practical abilities, develop their creative talents, and become a maker of the future.
As an Artsmark Partner, we support schools working towards Artsmark, as well as those that currently hold Artsmark status. We believe craft and making should play a central role in every child's creative education and we offer support, guidance and practical resources to help schools make this a reality. Our resources are free to everyone, so if you're not an Artsmark school you're still welcome to use and enjoy them.
As part of our role as an Artsmark Partner we:
- Offer a free downloadable resource pack, Craft for Artsmark Schools, that maps how craft can support every element of the Artsmark framework
- Publish a regular Craft Education Newsletter sharing best practice from the sector— email email@example.com to sign up
- Regularly publish practical resources to enrich your craft provision
- Offer schools bespoke advice and guidance on developing their craft offer
‘This is a fantastic package of support and ideas and shows how much work and thought the Crafts Council have dedicated to the task.’ Rob Elkington, Arts Connect (West Midlands Bridge Organistion)
