About 155A
Showcasing a rotating collection of contemporary art, 155A replaces the traditional ‘white box’ gallery model with an architectural-domestic setting, inspired by dynamic spaces such as Kettle’s Yard and Pallant House.
A trained ceramicist and graduate of Central St Martins, founder Karen Akhtar works with a variety of established and upcoming artists, several of them graduates from nearby Camberwell College of Arts, as well as craft makers and members of the New English Art Club. These collaborations offer a chance to exhibit from a three-dimensional perspective with a focus on storytelling or sometimes more formal themes.
