CAA takes over gallery@oxo at Oxo Tower Wharf during London Craft Week 2025 for Craft in Evolution, a group exhibition showcasing the work of 25 talented makers it explores the dynamic relationship between craftsmanship and contemporary innovation.
This exhibition celebrates craftsmanship as a living, breathing practice—one that continues to evolve and inspire. By showcasing a vibrant mix of established and emerging makers, Craft in Evolution underscores the ongoing vitality of the applied arts, illustrating how CAA’s member-makers continue to shape the future of craft and design in exciting and unexpected ways.
The exhibition brings together a diverse range of disciplines, from luminous glass to hand thrown ceramics and contemporary jewellery. Each maker represents a unique voice within the broader narrative of craft. Visitors will experience a conversation between past and future, as works range from intricate, hand-crafted objects that pay homage to historical forms, to bold, experimental pieces that embrace new materials, technologies, and processes. In Craft in Evolution, the dialogue between tradition and innovation is key. The exhibition invites reflection on how contemporary makers are both preserving and redefining techniques in response to the modern world.
