The project partners of the Creative Europe project ‘Crafting Europe’, are delighted to announce our first ‘Crafting Business Seminar’. Crafting Business is a professional practice training programme that was organised and delivered in 2020 and. This programme aimed to share expertise and knowledge to support the business development of newcomers to the industry in nine European countries including the UK.

Crafting Business focused on building business skills, generating revenue, and supporting marketing and promotion in craft micro-enterprises and small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).
For the past ten years, Crafts Council's Hothouse programme has supported nearly 300 maker businesses with a finely tuned offer that nurtures talent and provides skills and connections that enables their micro-businesses to ignite, grow and thrive. Hothouse has provided the framework training modules for Crafting Business, ensuring the legacy of this much sort after programme is disseminated across the sector.
