  • Creative workshops at LTB Showrooms

Mixed media artists Tilly McDermott, Toni Peach, and Mary Courtney invite creatives and the viewing public to engage with art and craft every Friday at Coventry’s Litten Tree Building (LTB).

The LTB began as a voluntary project, renovating under-used buildings for the use of grassroots creative initiatives. The former car showroom is now a community learning space, home to artists and makers who want to expand their practice through collaboration.

Working with Sitting Rooms of Culture, resident artists Tilly, Toni and Mary have reimagined the building's upper floors as a public gallery event space. Together they are showcasing new perspectives through sculpture, installations and ongoing material investigations, including hand-made garments and textile work.

Every Friday, creatives from any background, discipline and experience level, can take along a creative project to develop in an informal, welcoming and supportive environment.

A small bank of resources will be provided on-site, including paint, collage materials, access to a small craft press for printmaking and a sewing machine.

The resident artists are seeking further collaboration and welcome everyone to share their skills and ideas. For more information, please visit LTB's Facebook page.

About Litten Tree Building Showrooms

The LTB’s ongoing programme aims to make art and craft processes more visible and accessible for all. The LTB Showrooms offer a pop-up gallery and events space comprising the upper three floors of the former Rover Cars Showrooms building in the centre of Coventry. It has been renovated by Alan Denyer of AWD Restorations to create a venue where people can come together to practice and experience cultural activity at a grassroots level.
