This half term Blackhorse Workshop will launch their latest off-site project in collaboration with sustainable design studio Good Waste.
Plaster Works Chingford will open to the public from 23 October until 13 November. This innovative public making experience aims to highlight the hidden potential of building waste material, by demonstrating the design potential of recycled plasterboard.
Coinciding with the UN Climate Change Conference (COP26), Plaster Works will challenge attendees to re-think the materials that surround us every day and see value where others see waste. They'll be hosting fun hands-on activities for adults and children to crush, mix and create their own unique material to be moulded into a decorative bowl, gaining an insight into the power of transforming mundane waste.
Have a go at making your own decorative bowl inspired by the Italian Scagliola technique at the Plaster Works site, a renovated disused high-street shop transformed by Plasterworks' Young Creatives group in collaboration with Good Waste.
