Create a bright and beautiful woven circle artwork inspired by the colours all around us in Spring. You will learn how to make and use your own circular loom, weaving together different colours and textures.
Who is this class suitable for?
Suitable for ages 5–10 years This workshop is an introduction to weaving in a circle. You will begin by making your own circular loom out of a piece of cardboard and some wool. Then, learn how to weave in a circle using a selection of wools - experimenting with contrasting colours and different textures. Your design can be very simple, or very complex! The workshop is suitable for all ages. The finished weaving will stay on the cardboard, making it easy to display. Sarah learned to weave in South America where they are famous for their bright hand-dyed wools and intricate patterns.
