Natural dye and needlework artist Ciara Callaghan will be leading a workshop exploring stitch resist techniques and natural dyeing.
Who is this class suitable for?
Suitable for ages 11–15 years
In these workshops we will be exploring how we can create resists using a needle and thread to make personalised, beautiful patterns in cloth which will only be exposed after the fabric has been dyed. The dye we will be using on the day is tea! One which everyone has in the cupboard. In your materials pack you will receive an iron modifier, this will help us achieve charcoal and slate greys which will help patterns stand out.
