From 2-30 April join 155A Gallery in celebrating the works of two London based artists who use narrative and storytelling to inform their oil paintings and ceramic craft.
Mimi Joung works in slip trailed porcelain transcribing from the work of slim novel, 'In Watermelon Sugar' by Richard Brautigan. Her work is concerned with ideas around displacement, roots and change.
Lucy Giles creates large, vibrant works on canvas to describe a very personal pictorial language that has become increasingly abstract over the past twenty years. A record of observed shapes, colours and rhythms from sketchbook studies are decoded to create her original works.
