City Lit Ceramics Diploma Graduation Show at Crafts Council from 26th-28th June 2025, showcasing the work of our 2025 cohort, at the Crafts Council.
Over the course of two years, our group of seventeen women - ranging in age from our 20s to 60s - has explored ceramics with dedication and passion.
Coming from diverse professional backgrounds, including medicine, IT, fashion, and publishing, we bring a wealth of perspectives to our creative practice. Our work spans functional ceramics to abstract sculpture, reflecting our individual styles and technical skills. This exhibition celebrates not only our journey but also the legacy of the City Lit Ceramics Diploma, which has been fostering excellence in accessible ceramics education for over 35 years.
Guided by course leader Brigit Connolly, winner of the Jack Goldhill Award for Sculpture at last year’s Royal Academy Summer Exhibition, we have also benefited from the expertise of distinguished and dedicated tutors, including Loewe Craft Prize shortlist nominee Annie Turner, multi-award-winning ceramicist Sara Radstone, Kate Wickham, Robert Cooper, Jim Gladwin, Carina Ciscato and Chantal Condron. Notable alumni of the diploma include Lucille Lewin, Mella Shaw, Anne-Laure Cano, Matt Smith, and Hilary Mayo.
We invite you to experience the breadth of contemporary ceramic practice at our three-day exhibition. With thanks to Toast and City Lit for sponsorship.
