  • Design Island DAA, Ceramics Skills & Design Course

WCC Europe invites everybody to join the first annual conference organised in the framework of the “Crafting the Future” project. This year the focus will be on the necessary skills for the next generation of craftspeople.

Crafting the Future – Skills for the next generation of craftspeople is hosted by CEARTE at the Museu de Arte Popular in Lisbon on Wednesday 29 June and is one of the side events scheduled for the next WCC Europe GA.

The conference aims to set up a platform for exchanging relevant inputs on education, life-long learning, training and other aspects related to the transmission of knowledge and skills to younger generations, the sustainability aspects of the processes, and the accreditation systems in different European countries. Each of these topics will be addressed by experts from all over Europe. In order to actively engage the public, more attention will be given to the Q&A sessions.

  • The conference will be delivered in English
  • Free to join, both in-person and online.
  • The conference start-time is 2.30pm GMT+1 (Portugal/UK/Ireland), which corresponds to 3.30pm CEST (Italy/Spain/France)

We kindly ask all members to spread the voice of this conference among their communities in order to get craftspeople, policy makers, organizations and strategic stakeholders, all involved in the discussions and the round tables. Download the media kit.
