  • Onome Otite

Are you a young creative who is interested in ways you can use craft, design and making to uplift and empower the community you live in and raise the profile of issues you care about?

Joining our webinar will be artist Onome Otite, who has recently delivered a series of online workshops with Black Minds Matter, and artist/maker Hannah Ford who is part of Invisible Numbers collective, who run a community-led gallery in Walthamstow. The conversation will be led by a young member of Making for Change Expo 2020 who worked with Craftspace in Birmingham on a series of socially engaged Craftivist campaigns.

We'll be covering the practical elements from a beginner's perspective of working safely and equitably with communities, things to consider when starting out, and key challenges to community making posed by COVID-19.
