Companion Planting. A collaborative exhibition shown at White Box Gallery by Bridget Bailey and Margaret Proudfoot.
The idea began through the need to meet outside. Allotment walks during lockdown evolved into looking, drawing and making.
Noticing how tendrils grip or describing the anatomy of a grass stem, both bring their passions and processes to this exhibition. Working together has led to some intriguing pieces, from barbed wire sprouting shoots, to chain link fence ‘rewilding.’
These collaborative artworks explore the quiet power plants have to regenerate and reclaim when left to their own devices.
