Red Blanket, Blue Bowl, Wrench
These pieces explore the materials essences of objects through repair - commonalities and differences in what we use to repair our things.
The protective elements of tin on a warm wool blanket, glass beads in a glazed bowl, and the wrench part - as yet un-mended.
This work was made during the Cambridge Sustainability Residency (2013).

Hand beaded insert of glass beads, repairing and extending the bowl
This blanket provided warmth and protection to the user. After moths attacked it, I fixed it with recycled tin patches, mimicking the protectiveness of the blanket with this material juxtaposition.
