Glass sculpture - Defining edge - Dialogue at the threshold
The viewer is drawn into my dense cast black boxes by the allure of 23.5ct gold.
This austere textured form is inspired by Islamic architecture; many Islamic dwellings reveal little on the outside but have highly decorative hidden interiors.
A form encloses an inner space and is the boundary to the outside. The polished top rim defines the liminal space. The interplay between the interior and the exterior articulates a dialogue at the threshold.
