Summer Collection

A collection focusing on the shibori technique known as Arashi. Lisa explored this technique using heavy weight organic bull denims and also to the other extreme of silk and crepe de chine. The lines created remind you of map contours or maybe shorelines. Whichever it is the lines are striking and unique making each piece one of a kind.

Indigowares - Lisa Reddings

Wheathampstead, England

Hand-dyed Shibori silk scarves

Each one of a kind due to processes applied.

Akashi lines on silk

Created using traditional japanese shibori techniques.

Arashi crossbody bag

This pattern was created on an organic natural loom state denim. The denim has been wrapped around a large tube with waxed cord and then pushed down to make a resist before dyeing.
