Clipper Tea Bag Dress
This project was created in collaboration with Exeter University, TEX Innovation, and Upcycle Kernow to highlight the need for a circular system and to stop the linear process of making fast fashion and the overabundance of waste items that end up in landfill.
In the process of sewing, weaving, and smocking over 2000 teabags a representation of a wedding dress was created as a ‘metaphor’ to provoke thoughts about the promises we might make when committing to care for our partner in ‘marriage'.
