My ceramic work often takes the form of social comment. I frequently use historical models as reference or mixed with contemporary influences, subverting familiar forms to represent something other than their intended design and function. Humour is a consistent strand within the work. I like to explore the absurd, the provocative and the satirical.

Newcastle Artfest at the Monument

01 August 2019

I'll have a stall at the Newcastle Artfest again this summer. This is held outside at the Monument in Newcastle. I'll be there on Friday 23rd August and Saturday 24th August. 10pm-5pm

Land-Art Sessions with Ryedale Council

29 August 2019

I've just finished running 5 land-art sessions for Ryedale Council and MakeMore Arts. These were held in children's playgrounds throughout Ryedale Council and were commissioned to celebrate the playground's being made smoke free environments.

York NHS Teaching Hospitals

03 December 2019

In October I joined the team at York NHS Teaching Hospitals, This is to deliver a series of art workshops in the Stroke Unit which will run until the end of February 2020.

My ceramic work often takes the form of social comment.
