Cumbrian Summer Blanket
These blankets were inspired by field patterns in the Dales and Cumbria. It is a landscape of small fields surrounded by walls. They are woven in Scotland from yarn which I produce myself. Each year I gather fleece from local farms and have it spun in West Yorkshire. It is then sent to the Borders for dyeing and weaving.
Two local hotels and one national college have commissioned variations on the same theme for their establishments.
