Handwoven Silk Scarves
A small selection of my handwoven scarves woven in silk (and chenille in one of them). Inspired by the afternoon light, sedges and lichen on a rock.

This handwoven silk and chenille scarf captures the greying of the day and the subtle sunset of a deep winter afternoon.
Achieving pleats from nothing but silk was quite a challenge but it works brilliantly in this scarf inspired by the grasses and sedges of wild moorland.
Stone Squares was influenced by the tiny lichens growing on a stone window sill. Sitting next to it at nose level I started to realise just how many beautiful subtle colours you can find in a piece of weathered stone.
