My work reflects my memories of growing up in Norway, surrounded by mountains, forests and rocky beaches, and I find the textures, shapes and colours in craggy rock faces, lichen, moss and layered tree bark endlessly fascinating.
I work in a free and intuitive way, using techniques like stretching and carving, often combined with wheel throwing, to create organic forms reminiscent of elements in the wild. I use a variety of clays, grogs, slips, oxides and glazes, and fire to stoneware 1260C.


Winter Open Studio at the Kiln Rooms

Our annual winter open studio is just round the corner, when we turn our working studios into an exhibition space for all our members work. You can find a very diverse range of ceramics, from functional to sculpture, across two studios in Peckham.

"Natural Living" exhibition at Artichoke Gallery

I'll be showing with Artichoke Gallery in Ticehurst, Sussex for the first time this autumn. There will be a selection of moon-vases, as well as small and large bowls with layers of texture, oxides and glazes.
