Michelle House is an established printed textile artist and designer, who works from her studio in South London. She graduated from Goldsmiths college in 1992 after completing a textile degree, and has been enjoying printing ever since. She creates unique, hand-painted and printed wall hangings, textile artworks, and large, site-specific pieces, as well as designing limited edition digital prints on paper.

She has exhibited widely at venues including SOFA and Collect at the Saatchi gallery.


'Weave It' – Decorating Dissidence

Michelle has been invited to be part of the 'Weave It' exhibition at Stour Space. 'Decorating Dissidence are bringing together visual artists, makers, community groups and crafters to celebrate 100 years of the Bauhaus women's weaving workshop'

RWA 167 Open Exhibition

Michelle is delighted to have had one of her textile artworks selected and hung at the RWA in Bristol. This varied and renowned open exhibition, is in it's 167th year and is a showcase for some of the most exciting artists from the UK and beyond.

Construct – 62 Group exhibition

Michelle has had her 'Hoop' wall hanging selected for the new 62 Group exhibition 'Construct' at the Sunny Bank Mills Gallery in Farsley, West Yorkshire. Dates 20th July – 15th Sept. Tue - Sat 10am – 4pm, Sun 11am – 3pm. Closed Mondays.
