Books From Kimono fabrics
Vintage Japanese kimonos are often silk and in such wonderful colours and patterns, sometimes handprinted, sometimes with additional gold thread highlights. They make wonderful tall journals- the fabric is woven in strips , usually about 35cm wide, which limits the size and shape of the books I can produce.
Contemporary Japanese fabrics (as used for the small book) are colourful and fun to use.
