Tongues

Tongues series transforms mango pits to uncannily resemble that body boundary shifting organ. Food-dyed waste leather is moulded around the stone, suggesting pimpled skin, meat and externally wearable muscles. These intriguing pieces are designed to draw in the viewer and wearer, both attracting and repelling them. The pieces seek to shift and highlight bodily awareness, enhancing our sensory perception and re-connecting us with our internal organ’s processes of consuming food .
