I throw and turn my vessels on the wheel in my studio in Oxford. I use porcelain for its unique combination of delicacy and strength. It invites the creation of fine and balanced forms, and its purity creates a perfect surface for a glaze.
My work is both functional and decorative, thrown thinly and often inspired by oriental ceramics, but with a contemporary feel of its own. My palette of subtle and serene glaze colours and textures aims to complement the simplicity of the forms.
