moon jars
I throw moon jars in porcelain on the wheel, in a range of sizes. The purity of the spherical form invites a minimalist glaze approach; some are glazed with satin matt, speckled surfaces in tones of blue, grey and cream; others I decorate with liquid slip, adding a contrasting dynamic, chaotic element around the 'equator' of each globe, that picks up a transparent celadon glaze.
