Cavate

Burrowing into layers time has lain, and through processes so slow in passage I dare not to disturb what sleeps within. For who am I to drill, shake, awaken, un-Earth, unleashing boundless energy. So I tread quietly. Covering tracks with mud-dust. Only to be discovered, un-covered, once more. Series of Brooches, 2021 Materials: oil shale, shibuichi Exhibited at Koru7 in Lappeenranta, Finland at the South Karelia Museum
