A Ley Landscape
‘A Ley Landscape’ was made in response to photographs taken by Alfred Watkins of rural Herefordshire in the early 1900’s. Watkins’ photos document his research into Ley Lines; therefore his images often depict ancient pathways, hills and mounds. Verity was drawn to his images for their mysterious, looming, sinister and foreboding qualities. Verity has created ceramic forms depicting themes from Watkins’ landscapes which capture the qualities that she was drawn to in his photographs.
