Join us for an online conversation with the multi-disciplinary artist Matt Smith and George Harris, Exhibition and Production Manager at The Bowes Museum. Smith’s textile piece Study in Pink & Gray, pictured below, is currently on loan from Crafts Council Collection for the museum’s current exhibition, From Joséphine Bowes: Trendsetters and Trailblazers. This landmark exhibition honours the pioneering spirit and 200th anniversary of museum co-founder, Joséphine Bowes.
We are delighted to host this exciting online discussion where the Smith and Harris will discuss the artistic vision of Joséphine Bowes alongside the significance of craft within the Bowes Museum Collection.
