Since we launched the Let’s Craft appeal to bring creativity to children stuck at home this summer, we’ve been overwhelmed with support. From actors to architects, potters to presenters: here’s just some of the people who have kindly helped us spread the word. With their help – and that of every single person who has generously donated – we're now half-way to our target!

Fashion designer Victoria Beckham has shared her support:

While here's what the actor and arts advocate Russell Tovey had to say:

You all know how passionate I am for art and creativity and especially passionate in getting kids to be creative, use their imaginations and have fun with arts and crafts - there is an amazing initiative that I’d love you all to get involved in - the @craftscouncil - the national charity for craft - is launching their largest national fundraising campaign to date, with the aim of providing arts and craft packs for children in need of support, children who do not have access to basic art and craft materials whilst at home. Increasing numbers of families survive on very little income and rely on charities for access to shelter, food and cultural enrichment. The ‘Let’s Craft’ packs provide children with a creative outlet to support wellbeing, stimulation and effective home-learning, which would otherwise be unavailable to them. The packs contain basic arts materials and activities that require no digital resources/ wifi networks, extensive adult supervision or extra supporting materials that may not be available at home. Each pack costs £10 and contents include watercolours, paint brushes, colouring pencils & pens, a glue stick, sketchbook and activity book please donate and keep our kids creative and imaginative - it’s the future! #letscraft text CRAFT to 70085 to provide a £10 arts and craft pack full of magic and creativity today ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Comedian Bec Hill – who we spoke to recently on why she's supporting our Let's Craft campaign – posted one of her own masterpieces:

If you were lucky enough to have access to basic arts and crafts materials as a kid, reply with your childhood creations! Here's mine, age 5, of a boy (naked, because I knew that's what artist's drew). I tried to draw his bum on the front, but it looks like massive balls. pic.twitter.com/bcwEcR6ezI

Designer Pascal Anson, who you might have seen on the BBC's Big Painting Challenge, shared this kooky creation he designed for our crafting tutorials:

Pompommed to support the @craftscouncil Let’s Craft appeal. I designed this children’s project for them a few years ago. Link to the tutorial is in my profile. It’s a stool made from drink cups held together with bubble gum - gross! But funny and inventive!.. many children have no have access to art and craft materials during covid to be creative, so please if you can, text CRAFT to 70085 to buy a £10 Let’s Craft pack for a child in need. Thank you!!! #craft #drinkcups #bubblegum #furniture #design #london #letscraft #covid19 #childrenscraft #art #kidscraft #pompoms #glitter #sticker thanks also to @victoriabeckham @claudiawinkle @dawnfrenchofficial @russelltovey @joelycett and @bechillcomedian for their support also!
