The Hardship Fund for Makers was launched thanks to the generosity of The Radcliffe Trust to help makers who during the Covid-19 lockdown have lost more than 75% of their income and don’t qualify for any form of government support.
We raised over £75,000 and have now made grants from the Hardship Fund to all makers we were able to support, with individual grants of £500. We are grateful to The Radcliffe Trust for enabling us to set up this fund and would also like to thank Bils & Rye and their customers for their support.
The Crafts Council is committed to keep supporting makers in recovering from the impact of Covid-19 on the craft sector. If you would like to help directly support makers’ income at this time, you can do this by donating to our Acquisition Appeal.
