Diane trained as a printed textile designer. Inspired by a quilting technique on a particular group of designs she developed this method as a way of producing raised embroidered fabric art. Nature and the passage of time , exposure to the natural elements and the influences of man upon our natural spaces, provide great inspiration for her artwork. Free machine embroidery and hand embroidery is used to express the shapes, colours, textures and patterns, which continue to fascinate and inspire.
